Ginger Hessler learned the commercial plumbing business from a pro—her husband Nick Hessler who was in the business 30 years. Beginning in 1992 with Dial One Wesco Plumbing, Ginger managed the office, scheduled five service trucks and learned how to provide non-union plumbing services to both residential and commercial clients. Both SEARS and Northwest Natural Gas chose Dial One Wesco to install gas and electric water heaters.

In 2008 Nick and Ginger opened Pure Commercial Plumbing, a union company that built its reputation on maintenance plumbing in the Portland-Vancouver metro area. When Nick died in 2010, Ginger stepped up and assumed full business responsibilities for Pure Commercial Plumbing. The company currently provides plumbing maintenance for one of the largest grocery retailers in Washington and Oregon. Pure Commercial Plumbing billed just under a million dollars in 2010.

As the sole business owner, Ginger is hands-on and holds her own contracting licenses in both Oregon (OR185789) and Washington (WAPURECCP915DT). Her employees are Oregon and Washington licensed journeymen plumbers who belong to Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 290. Service Manager Curtis Gillette teaches plumbing courses for Local 290.

Pure Commercial Plumbing provides 24-hour service to its customer, 365 days a year. The company guarantees same day quotes without hidden costs with all fees agreed upon before starting work so there are no surprises at the end of the day. Commercial services include clearing small and large sewers, back flow testing, hydro jetting services to unclog sewer lines, digital camera/locater with video evidence, installation and services to pipes, repairs to toilets/urinal, sinks, drinking water fountains, faucets, garbage disposals, water heaters and gas lines.

Based on her extensive work experience in commercial insurance with restaurants/bars, entertainment facilities and contractors, Ginger plans to continue growing her company in the areas of restaurant, hotel and property management.
